Binance completed a large-scale Shiba Inu transfer involving 3.09 trillion Shiba Inu coins

Binance transferred 3.09 trillion Shiba Inu coins ($SHIB) between its internal wallets, in what appears to be a routine upgrade by the exchange to its cold storage infrastructure.

Two transactions were completed in 60 seconds.

According to on-chain data, Binan completed two consecutive transfers in a very short period of time, with a total value of approximately US$16.46 million. The first transaction involved 1.099 trillion $SHIBs, followed by the second transfer of 2 trillion $SHIBs, both between wallet addresses controlled by Binance. The entire transfer process is completed in 60 seconds.

It is understood that exchanges typically transfer assets between hot and cold wallets as part of their security and custody operations. Hot wallets remain connected to efficiently process charging and withdrawal services, while cold wallets run offline, providing an additional layer of security. Therefore, the transfer is likely to be a movement of an internal wallet rather than a deposit to another exchange or an external sale.

Binan is still one of the largest holders of Shiba Inu coins

Binan is still one of the largest holders of Shiba Inu coins. According to online data, the exchange's two wallets hold a total of 44.5 trillion $SHIBs, accounting for 7.55% of the total supply of Shiba Inu coins.

The recent transfer is consistent with the large-scale internal asset reallocation pattern common on major platforms. In recent months, Binance and other major platforms have transferred billions of $SHIBs through multiple transactions. Such transfers are often related to internal wallet management and do not necessarily represent buying or selling activity.

There is currently no indication that these transfers involve customer withdrawals or external counterparties. Observers point out that transfers of funds between wallets on verified exchanges of this size are standard operating practice and have no direct impact on market supply or price direction.
