Robinhood Chain: The collision between the vision of real-life asset tokenization and the reality of minocoin

Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ: HOOD) spent more than a year building its Robinhood Chain, with the core concept that users want to trade tokens tied to large companies such as Apple and Nvidia. However, two weeks after Robinhood Chain launched, Bernstein analysts said its early activity was driven mainly by Meme Coins rather than stock tokens.

Bernstein reported that cumulative trading volume reached US$3.1 billion in the past seven days, highlighting the sharp contrast between the stock token products the chain offers and the assets it mainly attracted in the early days.

This contrast formed the core feature of Robinhood Chain's early release phase. Existing data shows that trading activity is spread across decentralized exchanges (DEX), as well as a smaller group of users with access to stock tokens. Bernstein described trading volume, which is largely driven by memoin, as demonstrating strong liquidity and appeal among crypto-native traders, while also emphasizing Robinhood's focus on products and services linked to real-world assets (RWA).

Robinhood Chain's tokenized bets encounter crypto-native demand

Robinhood announced the launch of Robinhood Chain's public mainnet on July 1, 2026. This Layer 2 blockchain, built on the Arbitrum platform, provides a permission-agnostic environment focused on real-world assets and includes functions such as lending.

Stock tokens are the core of the product and are accessible in more than 120 countries through Robinhood Wallet, although availability varies by region. These tokens can be traded 24/7 on Robinhood Chain and used in loan pools or as collateral for transactions.

By partnering with exchanges such as Uniswap and Rialto, Robinhood enables users to conduct spot transactions directly in their wallets. It is worth noting that Uniswap is launching a dedicated automated market maker for this initiative.

A report noted that while stock tokens are available in many countries, they are not accessible in the United States, with approximately 65,000 users holding approximately US$13 million in stock tokens. Robinhood Chain is rapidly becoming one of the preferred destinations for on-chain asset trading.

In addition, Robinhood is launching Robinhood Earn, a decentralized lending product for U.S. users that allows them to lend USDG, a dollar-backed token. This feature is supported by the Morpho protocol, and selected users can access perpetual contracts on Lighter through Robinhood Wallet.

Meincoin became the early growth engine of the chain

In its first two weeks, Robinhood Chain received widespread attention from meincoin, especially Cash Cat. It has approximately 25,000 wallet addresses and a market value of US$150 million. Other noteworthy ones are Wen Lambo, Tendies and Hoodrat.

Bernstein reported that trading volume was mainly driven by these memos, indicating the liquidity and interest of crypto-native traders, which is not inconsistent with the overall appeal of the chain.

The cumulative trading volume of US$3.1 billion includes activity on decentralized exchanges, while stock tokens cover the positions of approximately 65,000 users. Robinhood's release positioned the chain as a space for developers and real-world asset tokenization, and early memin activity demonstrated a diversified asset environment that transcends mere stock tokens.

CASHCAT hits new high on ROBINHOOD Chain!$ CASHCAT, the unofficial cat memin coin named after Robinhood's abandoned CashCat brand, just hit a new high near $0.30. Robinhood Chain's DEX and fee craze continues to draw attention to the token that defined the chain in the first few weeks.
