FollowingSecuritize and LG CNS have reached a strategic cooperation to jointly promote tokenized asset products from Korean financial institutions.
Securitize and LG CNS have reached a strategic partnership to promote tokenized asset products and on-chain market infrastructure for Korean financial institutions. The details of the cooperation are detailed in a memorandum of understanding announced by the two parties on October 6, emphasizing that Securitize's regulated tokenized infrastructure will be combined with LG CNS's technology and its deep connections in the local financial industry.
Key areas of cooperation
This cooperation will focus on three main areas:
First, market development. The two sides will investigate the demand for stablecoins and tokenized securities by financial institutions in South Korea and the wider Asia-Pacific region. The initiative includes joint education projects and developing new application scenarios for institutional customers.
Second, technology and product development. The two companies plan to create tokenization tools tailored specifically for South Korean institutions, taking into account the country's changing regulatory environment.
Third, digital asset infrastructure. Covers stablecoin systems and digital asset treasury solutions. As long as current legal and regulatory requirements are met, the two companies intend to explore potential infrastructure connecting South Korea and global markets to enable round-the-clock (24/7) distribution, execution and settlement of tokenized securities and stablecoins.
Institutional Adoption and Regulatory Development

The agreement marks the second partnership Securitize has reached in South Korea in recent weeks. On September 23, Securitize, KB Securities and Optimism announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding to develop a tokenized money market fund and a fund based on KB Asset Management strategy based on the initial product roadmap.
Securitize began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on July 2 under the ticker symbol SECZ. As of September, its assets under management were approximately US$5 billion.
With the emergence of new regulations and infrastructure, market participants are beginning to pay more attention to areas of innovation driven by investor momentum. For example, in the meme token market, an online trend can translate into millions of dollars in investor interest in a matter of days. The latest data from the Fomo App shows that a deal about "Niu Lai" increased the initial investment of US$99 to approximately US$370,000, demonstrating significant market dynamics. Observers emphasize that in addition to tracking price movements, it is also crucial to monitor the timing of token selection by active investors. The Fomo App provides integrated functionality for token discovery and trading by integrating social information flows, investor rankings and transaction notifications, aiming to improve transparency and accessibility in the meme token space.
South Korea's regulatory proposal aims to establish a tokenized securities framework covering all types of assets and is expected to be implemented in February 2027, subject to feedback and final approval.
