A 19,061x Return on a $86 Bet
blockchain data analysis platform Lookonchain pointed out that in the current memecoin cycle, an on-chain transaction is particularly eye-catching. A wallet labeled 0xeee2 entered the market for only US$86 when the CASHCAT token was born, and a total of 17.5 million tokens were purchased at the issue price. As liquidity surged, the trader partially cashed out and sold 3.6 million tokens for a gain of $390,500. The remaining 13.8 million tokens are stored in associated wallets 0xeee2 and 0x32c3, respectively, with a current valuation of approximately US$1.24 million. The total position is worth approximately US$1.6 million, which means that the investment received a return of 19,061 times the original investment.
Even looking at the wider wave of huge CASHCAT winners, the deal stands out. Another independent wallet tracked by Lookonchain bought 15.04 million CASHCAT tokens for $838 about 20 days ago, and subsequently sold 13.5 million for $917,600, retaining remaining positions worth approximately $133,700. Both cases demonstrate the asymmetric revenue space that can be brought about by early entry into high-momentum meme tokens, but such results are still rare exceptions rather than universal rules.
CASHCAT and Robinhood Chain Background
CASHCAT itself has certain historical relevance-it was the platform\'s early mascot before Robinhood\'s U.S. stock trading platform was renamed. Robinhood launched its own Layer 2 blockchain on July 1, focusing on on-chain finance and real-world assets. The thematic connection between the token and this new infrastructure has sparked speculative interest. CASHCAT surged 718% in a single day, reaching a market value of US$68 million, and helped drive a significant surge in Layer 2 chain activity, which was only a week after Robinhood was launched.
Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev has pointed out that the chain is friendly to meme tokens, an observation that adds to the trading boom surrounding CASHCAT and similar projects. CASHCAT\'s most active trading pair is CASHCAT/WETH on Uniswap V3 (Robinhood), which also reflects the concentration of most of the trading volume on the chain.
Notes
Like any memecoin market, it needs to be viewed in conjunction with the specific context. A study shows that among meme tokens with a return rate of more than 100% on the mainstream public chain, more than 82% are artificially pushed up due to wash transactions or liquidity pool manipulation. The average holding time of such tokens is only about 100 seconds. The sustainability of CASHCAT\'s explosive growth may ultimately depend more on the continued popularity of Robinhood Chain than on current price movements. Investors should remain cautious and conduct their own research before making any investment decisions.
