Is Ansem buying CASHCAT?

Blockchain analysis company Lookonchain locked in a chain transaction on July 8: a wallet labeled \"Ansem-2\" spent US$233,000 in three hours and purchased 2.79 million CASHCAT tokens.

The wallet carries the tag of Ansem, a well-known crypto trader (his social media account is@blknoiz06), but Ansem himself has not confirmed any connection to the purchase. Solana address CLM6E4 holds 10.5 million $ANSEM tokens and has made approximately US$2.6 million from past ANSEM transactions. Investigators linked the EVM wallet to the above address through a shared transaction model, but neither address had an official label. Traders tracking wallets associated with Ansem typically view such movements as early signals, so whether or not the purchase can be confirmed has attracted attention.

CASHCAT\'s rapid rise on Robinhood Chain

The purchase comes at a time when $CASHCAT has become the most visible asset on Robinhood\'s new Layer 2 network. The network opened to the public on July 1, which means that almost all of its growth has been concentrated in the past week. The network was originally positioned as a tokenized real-world asset, but the first to achieve a breakthrough was a meme coin. The token soared more than 1650% in 24 hours, pushing its market value to US$117 million, making it one of the best performing cryptocurrencies of the day. The token name is derived from Robinhood\'s early internal codename \"Cashcat\", which formed a story with cultural resonance that further ignited speculative enthusiasm. Despite the skyrocketing price, Robinhood did not endorse the memin.

The rally gained further momentum after Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev issued a post saying that the network is very suitable for memin and paid attention to the official account of the token. This statement is diametrically opposed to his position a few days ago. In an interview with CNBC on July 2, he once called memin basically a dead end and believed that tokenizing real-world assets was a more lasting development direction for cryptocurrencies.

Whale movements and broader context

The \"Ansem-2\" wallet is not the only movement worthy of attention. Lookonchain also marked another wallet, which purchased 15.04 million CASHCAT tokens for $838 about 20 days ago, and subsequently sold 13.5 million at a profit of approximately $917,600, turning $838 into more than $1 million. Daily trading volume for the Uniswap V3 pairs on Robinhood Chain jumped to approximately $212.3 million on July 8, according to Dune data.

This rapid rise highlights the highly volatile nature of memocoins, whose price fluctuations are often driven by social media sentiment and so-called celebrity engagement. Early investors in CASHCAT have achieved extraordinary returns, but such gains could also reverse sharply, exposing late-stage buyers to serious losses.
