Japan promotes legalization of cryptocurrency ETFs, Shiba Inu may benefit
Japan is taking a closer step towards legalizing cryptocurrency ETFs and formulating new regulatory regulations. Shiba Inu benefits from listing on regulated Japanese platforms. Trading volume on the Shibarium Decentralized Exchange (DEX) surged 1517%, indicating a return to activity.
Shiba Inu has once again attracted attention as Japan promotes the legalization of cryptocurrency ETFs and strengthens digital asset supervision. At the same time, Shibarium's decentralized trading activity rebounded significantly, while Shiba Inu continues to expand its influence in Japan through regulated platforms and payment services.
Shiba Inu may benefit from Japan's crypto reform
Japan recently passed legislation to classify cryptocurrencies as regulated financial products under the Financial Commodity Exchange Act. The proposed framework also opens the door for cryptocurrency ETFs, with Finance Minister Katayama confirming in May that the government was evaluating its legalization process.
For Shiba Inu, this regulatory shift could increase its visibility in one of the world's largest digital asset markets. SHIB has been included in Japan's JVCEA Green List, allowing licensed exchanges to list the token more easily. In addition, the asset is also available on Mercoin and Rakuten Wallet, reaching millions of retail users.
Shiba Inu shows early signs of Shibarium recovery
In addition to the regulatory level, activities in the Shiba Inu ecosystem have also begun to improve. According to DeFiLlama, Shibarium's daily decentralized exchange trading volume soared from US$17 to US$275 in one day, an increase of 1517%. Although the total is still small, this is an increase after weeks of sluggish trading volume.
SHIB prices have also stabilized after breaking through a long-term downward wedge. Analysts are focusing on resistance levels around US$0.0000456. If buying momentum strengthens, subsequent resistance levels will be US$0.000051 and US$0.000055. A continued recovery in online activity may drive broader participation, but current transaction volumes are still well below the levels of large blockchain ecosystems.
