SEC Chairman Paul Atkins is optimistic about Senate vote on the CLARITY Act
US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Paul Atkins expressed optimistic expectations about the CLARITY Act, which will soon affect the legal framework of the cryptocurrency asset industry. In a live broadcast, Chairman Atkins commented on the cryptocurrency market and referred to a procedural vote scheduled for September 15 in the Senate.
Push the legislative process to align with regulatory goals
Talking about the legislative process of the bill, Atkins said: "I expect and hope that the bill will pass the Senate and then be sent to the president for signature and final approval."
Atkins pointed out that the SEC's new "crypto asset regulation" proposal is consistent with its strategic goal of building the United States into a global cryptocurrency center. He emphasized that clear regulatory rules will attract capital flows and innovative entrepreneurs back to the United States, and eliminating regulatory uncertainty will not only protect investor rights, but also bring stability to the market.
These remarks further boosted industry expectations for legal clarity before the key Senate vote on September 15.
