On September 4, the cryptocurrency market rebounded strongly. According to CoinMarketCap data, the price of Bitcoin (BTC) has once again reached the $80,000 mark, and among the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation, Pons has become the best performing asset.

Mainstream crypto assets generally rose

As of 11 a.m. Korean time on September 4, Bitcoin rose 4.19% from the previous trading day to US$80,715.94; Ethereum (ETH) rose 4.55% to US$2,500.82. The major cryptocurrencies generally showed an upward trend.

In other major currencies, XRP rose 5.72% to US$1.43;Solana (SOL) rose 3.14% to US$103.43;Dogecoin (DOGE) rose 5.05% to US$0.0867;Tron (TRX) rose 1.39% to US$0.3295; and Avalanche (AVAX) rose 4.00% to US$7.49.

In addition, World Liberty Financial (WLFI) rose 2.60% to US$0.05748 and Worldcoin (WLD) rose 6.07% to US$0.3919.

Altcoin market performance diverges

Among the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation, Pons (PONS) recorded the largest one-day gain, soaring 35.84%. Pyth Network (PYTH) fell the most, down 9.87%.

Among other altcoin markets, QUAI surged 15.01% to US$0.00855, and ALEO rose 1.03% to US$0.01707.

New online currencies

CoinMarketCap has also added 10 newly launched cryptocurrencies in the past 24 hours, including: Justice for HeeHaw (HEEHAW), SOLI COIN (SOLI), Prologue (PROLOGUE), Mancer (MANCER), FLORK (FLORK), Longbow (BOW), NetNet (NET), Down to Finance (DTF), Ember (EMBER), and Lil' Shrub (SHRUB).
