XRP Market Analyst Zach Rector releases new analysis: Estimates of net inflows to centralized exchanges required to reach the price targets of US$5, US$10 and US$20 by 2026
XRP Market Analyst Zach Rector recently released a new analysis, estimating the net inflows to neutral exchanges required for XRP to reach the price milestones of US$5, US$10 and US$20 respectively by the end of 2026. Rector, known for his data-driven price forecasts in the cryptocurrency community, shared a detailed chart on Platform X (formerly Twitter) that compares different "inflow-price multipliers" and their impact on capital demand.
Decomposition of inflows required to achieve XRP price targets
Rector's chart uses four multipliers-50 times, 100 times, 200 times, and 500 times-to break down the necessary exchange inflows in detail. These multipliers represent the multiples that new capital needs to be amplified in the trading ecosystem to push XRP to reach the corresponding price target.
For a target price of US$5, the expected inflow required ranges from US$443 million (using a 500 multiplier) to US$4.4 billion (using a 50 multiplier). The median values for 200 and 100 multipliers are US$1.1 billion and US$2.2 billion respectively.
Rector estimates that to achieve the XRP target of US$10 per piece, the inflow required will be between US$1.1 billion and US$10.7 billion, depending on the multiplier chosen. For example, the 500-fold multiplier requires $1.1 billion in inflows, while the 200-fold, 100-fold and 50-fold options require $2.7 billion,$5.4 billion and $10.7 billion, respectively.
Price target 500 times multiplier 200 times multiplier 100 times multiplier 50 times multiplier $5 $443 million $1.1 billion $2.2 billion $44 billion $10 $11 billion $2.7 billion $54 billion $10.7 billion $20 $23 billion $58 billion $11.7 billion $23.4 billion In the introduction to his analysis, Rector pointed out: "If XRP reaches 100, you only need to amplify the above $10 assumption by 10 times." This suggests that achieving such large price increases requires significantly more capital support. He wrote in the post: "Observe how much inflow we need to get XRP to $5,$10 and $20. For a $100 XRP, just multiply the $10 assumption by 10."
Key variables affecting XRP market prices
As analysis shows, higher price targets will sharply increase projected inflow demand. For the $20 price level, Rector's calculations show that funding needs range from $2.3 billion to $23.4 billion, depending on the multiplier selected.
Rector further explained that these multipliers are only theoretical models and not direct predictions of future price changes. The relationship between inflows and prices can be affected by many factors, such as market liquidity, depth of the order book, the number of XRPs available for sale at each price level, and overall selling pressure.
Mini Dictionary: Order-book depth
In cryptocurrency exchanges, order book depth refers to the total amount of buy and sell orders at each price level. Higher depth means that the market can absorb large transactions without causing drastic price fluctuations.
Community response raises doubts
Rector's estimates sparked heated debate among cryptocurrency market participants. "To be honest, if XRP does go up to $10, it will completely change my life," community member Hanne said. Another user, Looking Glass 1776, suggested that so-called market manipulation and price suppression may limit XRP's upside.
Kevin Walsh challenges the use of multipliers in the Rector model, arguing that the relationship between inflows and price changes is far from proven. Walshaw pointed out that liquidity, seller presence and order book status are the key factors determining actual price changes, not just total net inflows.
Critics emphasize that a single inflow multiplier cannot fully capture the dynamic complexity of the cryptocurrency market. Although Rector's chart provides multiple scenarios, the complexity of the market means that there is no fixed link between capital inflows and price targets.
Background on XRP
XRP is a digital native asset of the Ripple Network designed to provide fast and cost-effective international payment solutions. The network operates independently of Ripple, but is widely used for cross-border transactions and money transfers.
Rector's chart provides an estimate of the size of potential capital flows required for major price milestones, but final market performance will depend on various real-time conditions through 2026.
