2026年10月12日，Sui基金会宣布与DATA Network达成战略合作，将投资3000万美元以支持其向Sui生态的迁移。此次合作标志着DATA Network这一专注于AI训练数据的协议将原生运行于Sui区块链之上，并与Walrus去中心化存储网络深度集成，旨在为AI工作负载提供经过权利清理的高质量实时数据供应。
核心合作与投资细节
根据公告内容，Sui基金会将成为DATA Network最大的机构投资者，与现有的主要利益相关方PIP Labs和DATA Foundation共同持有该协议。此次迁移不仅涉及技术层面的整合，还包括治理权和经济效益的承诺，确保新条款至少等同于当前的安排。
随着Trace和Walrus加入Sui技术栈，AI实验室将能够更高效地获取真实世界的数据来源。目前，Trace已记录超过2.5亿份收据，日均贡献量超过300万份，显示出其在数据溯源领域的巨大影响力。
代币迁移方案：一比一转换，权益保留
在代币迁移方面，现有持有者将通过一比一的方式获得Sui链上的DATA代币。原有的代币锁定状态（Lockups）和归属计划（Vesting Schedules）将保持不变，确保持有者的经济利益不受影响。独立区块链将在过渡期结束前继续运营，直至迁移完全完成。
Walrus and Trace: Building a Trusted AI Data Layer
This collaboration also introduces Walrus as the default storage layer for DATA Foundation applications. Since shifting its focus from general intellectual property infrastructure to AI training data in June this year, the DATA Foundation is committed to integrating transaction processing, data registration and file storage functions through a shared technology stack.
- Role of Trace: The Trace protocol was launched in June and is specifically used to record data sources, usage rights, and payments to contributors. Currently, applications such as Kled, Numo and Oto have been connected to the registration system. Among them, Kled is importing more than 1.5 billion records for its human data market.
- Walrus enhancements: For DATA Network, Walrus will add encrypted reference copies to the original files to supplement existing registration records. These copies are designed to help buyers verify document integrity and identify subsequent changes, while ensuring that stored materials are only visible to licensed buyers through access control mechanisms.
Industry background and future outlook
Adeniyi Abiodun, co-founder of Mysten Labs, pointed out that consent records and clear proof of origin are increasingly important for AI datasets. However, mere registration does not prove that every contributor has legal rights to use it. To this end, SY Lee, Chairman of Poseidon and CEO of PIP Labs, will serve as a strategic consultant to the Sui Foundation to further promote the collaboration between the two parties in terms of technical architecture.
DATA Foundation said it will release a detailed migration schedule and token holder transition plan before the upgrade to ensure a smooth transition for the community. This move is seen as an important integration in the AI infrastructure field and is expected to improve data transparency and compliance.
