Remixpoint made a profit of 117.8 million yen from selling altcoin, which is expected to be recognized as operating income in the second quarter of fiscal year 2027.
Remixpoint made a gain of 117.8 million yen (approximately US$746,800) from selling its altcoin assets. The company said the gain plans to be recognized as business segment revenue in the second quarter of fiscal 2027.
The company pointed out that the decision to liquidate all altcoins and shift to a strategy of holding only Bitcoin was based on current market conditions, the risk-reward characteristics of the assets, and the company's overall financial strategy.
The sell-off of dogcoin leads to losses
According to official documents shared by Remixpoint, Ethereum brought the largest profit, with 60.2 million yen (approximately US$381,000); followed by Solana, with a profit of 49.3 million yen (approximately US$312,000); and XRP made a profit of 11.5 million yen (approximately US$72,900). The only exception is Dogecoin, which represents meme coins, caused a loss of 3.3 million yen (approximately US$21,000).
Strengthen Bitcoin Holding and Executive Compensation Reform
Currently, Remixpoint still holds approximately 1,506 bitcoins worth more than US$115 million. Its Bitcoin strategy also generates additional revenue through lending. According to reports, between February 24 and August 31, the company earned 14.92 BTC through expense income. Based on the relevant month-end exchange rates, the value of these fees is approximately 164.2 million yen (approximately 1 million US dollars).
In addition, Remixpoint announced a landmark move: its president and CEO will be paid all in Bitcoin. The move makes Remixpoint the first listed company in Japan to adopt a pure bitcoin compensation system for top management. The company linked the decision to its goal of "shareholder-oriented management", saying that by paying CEO compensation in Bitcoin, management will share economic risks and benefits with shareholders.
Use of Funds and Future Planning
Funds from this asset sale are being used to expand asset allocation in growth areas, including grid-level battery energy storage projects, to consolidate the financial foundation and take other measures that will help enhance corporate value and shareholder value.
As early as July 2025, the Japanese energy consulting company received approximately 31.5 billion yen in financing, which was specifically used to purchase Bitcoin. At the time, Remixpoint set an initial goal of reaching a position of 3,000 bitcoins.
Market pressures and latest trends
