EURC Circle launches Arc public mainnet: USDC pays Gas, Wall Street institutions jointly escort
On September 16, Circle officially launched the Arc public mainnet. The Layer 1 network, which focuses on stablecoins, entered the production environment and supported more than 100 applications online on its first day. Arc has characteristics such as sub-second finality and transaction fees denominated in USDC.
Arc is specifically built for financial markets, real-time payments, foreign exchange trading, tokenized assets, and automated transactions involving AI agents. The network has moved from a private mainnet stage that includes more than 100 institutions and ecosystem builders to a public environment that is open to developers and users.
USDC as a Gas asset runs through the Arc ecosystem
Arc uses USDC as its Gas asset, so that transaction fees remain denominated in US dollars, and users can pay fees without obtaining other volatile tokens. Its consensus mechanism design provides deterministic sub-second settlement speeds, while the network is fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and the existing Solidity tool chain.
Circle has integrated USDC, EURC, Circle Payments Network and its broader stablecoin infrastructure directly into Arc. StableFX provides round-the-clock programmable foreign exchange settlement services for supported stablecoins; and tokenized assets such as Circle's USYC and BlackRock's BUIDL also formed part of the original financial ecosystem.
在交易与流动性方面，Aero、fomo 和 Uniswap 提供了首日的交易基础设施，Aave 和 Morpho 则启动了借贷市场。此外，Pump.fun、Robinhood、1inch 和 Hibachi 等交易平台也在积极接入该网络。

贝莱德、DTCC 及卡组织确保 Arc 安全
Arc 启动之初便拥有一支主要由传统金融行业参与者组成的许可验证者群体。贝莱德（BlackRock）、美国存托信托公司（DTCC）、Galaxy、ICE、万事达卡（Mastercard）、速汇金（MoneyGram）、SBI 集团、渣打银行（Standard Chartered）、住友商事、Visa 以及现隶属于 Global Payments 的 Worldpay，均与 Circle 共同参与网络 rollout。
围绕 Arc 构建业务的银行和金融机构包括纽约梅隆银行（BNY）、汇丰银行（HSBC）、法国兴业银行（Societe Generale）、道富银行（State Street）和渣打银行。资产管理公司和代币化提供商则涵盖贝莱德、Bitwise、Janus Henderson、ProShares、Centrifuge 和 xStocks。
此次公共主网的发布，建立在 Arc 测试网不到一年内处理超过 7 亿笔交易的基础之上。Circle 表示，开发者已在生态系统中构建了超过 1,200 个项目。MetaMask、Phantom、Ledger、Rainbow 和 Trust Wallet 等主要钱包均已支持访问该网络。
Circle 铸造 100 亿枚 ARC 代币
本周，Circle 还完成了 ARC 的创世铸造（genesis mint），创建了总计 100 亿枚代币的初始供应量。
ARC 的设计旨在协调网络安全、治理和效用，随着 Arc 逐步迈向计划中的权益证明（Proof-of-Stake）模式，其作用愈发重要。目前，交易费用仍以 USDC 支付，而非 ARC。
Arc 当前通过其许可验证者结构运行，Circle 目标是在 2027 年从权威证明（Proof of Authority）过渡到权益证明。新铸造的 ARC 供应量的公开分配尚未安排时间表。
