Silversea Cruises announces huge route plan for 2028-2029
Royal Caribbean Group (RCL) shares rose 4.81% as Silversea Cruises announced its luxury voyage lineup. The 2028-2029 shipping plan announced this time covers 219 destinations in 56 countries around the world, with an additional 29 previously unserved ports joining the luxury brand's global network.
Caribbean operations include 38 voyages across 34 ports in 21 countries. The Asian route introduces eight new ports and additional departure cities. This expansion further consolidates Royal Caribbean's influence in key cruise markets.
Expansion of operations in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and South America
The new season will operate from September 2028 to May 2029, with routes throughout Europe, Asia and the American continent. The itinerary covers the Mediterranean Sea, the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand, South America and multiple Asian regions. Venice membership members received priority access before opening reservations to the public on October 8.
In terms of Mediterranean operations, Silver Nova and Silver Dawn will conduct 17 voyages from October 2028 to March 2029, passing through 53 ports in more than a dozen countries, with Brindisi and Imperia joining as new destinations for the first call. Multiple itineraries will arrange extended overnight stays in famous cities such as Venice, Istanbul, Naples, Genoa and Valletta.
Silver Sea Cruises continues to develop its S.A.L.T. culinary adventure, emphasizing regional cuisine and seasonal exploration. Three dedicated wine and truffle tours shuttle between Italy and Spain, while four Asian market itineraries connect Singapore with Hong Kong. These voyages combine guided market tours, winery tours, cooking workshops and a chef curated destination experience.
From November 2028 to March 2029, four Silver Sea cruises will serve Caribbean and Central American waters. The Silver Ray, Yinnova, Silver Spirit and Silver Shadow will complete 38 voyages and arrive at 34 ports in 21 countries. La Romana, Dominican Republic, joined the network as the first stop.
Round-and-trip to the Caribbean will depart from Miami, Fort Lauderdale and San Juan, offering guests options in multiple major boarding cities. Silver Sea also plans to launch a carefully planned destination experience event in Canouan, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The event includes a Carnival themed welcome ceremony, live entertainment, regional cuisine, beverages and exclusive beach use rights.
The Yinova will depart from Fort Lauderdale on January 13, 2029 for a magnificent 75-day South American adventure. The voyage includes a Panama Canal crossing, a picturesque cruise to the Antarctic Peninsula and overnight visits to major South American metropolises. The vessel will arrive at Fort Lauderdale on March 29, completing the entire Continental Loop.
Australia and Asia deployments introduce new destinations
The Silver Moon will be responsible for voyages to Australia and New Zealand, carrying out 10 voyages from October 2028 to March 2029, covering 42 destinations in three countries. Batemans Bay and Phillip Island are on the calendar for the first time, and Sydney will host an overnight celebration on New Year's Eve.
Between September 2028 and May 2029, the Silver Moon and Silver Muse will complete 26 Asian voyages. The plan covers 62 destinations in 11 countries and introduces eight new ports for Silversea's operations in Asia. New departure locations in Kobe and Bali create more options for passengers to board and board.
This expansion is in line with Royal Caribbean Group's comprehensive strategy covering multiple cruise brands, destination development and land vacation products. Royal Caribbean manages a fleet of 71 ships through Royal Caribbean International Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Silver Sea Cruises and their partnership with TUI Cruises. The company is continuing to develop exclusive private destinations and plans to launch celebrity river boat tours in 2027.
