Bitcoin and XRP dominate the U.S. spot ETF market, while Solana lags behind
According to the latest fund data, spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that track Bitcoin and Ripple (XRP) continue to dominate the U.S. crypto asset market, performing significantly better than funds linked to Solana and a range of other altcoins.
Bitcoin and XRP lead the spot ETF market
Bitcoin has established its leading position in the U.S. spot ETF field. Currently, the net assets managed by the Bitcoin Spot ETF are approximately US$110.68 billion, equivalent to 6.54% of the total market value of Bitcoin. Cumulative net inflows have reached US$57.84 billion, an increase of US$118.86 million in the most recent trading day. Trading activity remains strong, with average daily trading volume estimated at approximately US$1.84 billion.
Bitcoin ETF has become the main carrier of institutional capital, with net assets stable at more than US$110 billion and daily capital flows exceeding US$100 million. In contrast, although XRP is much smaller than Bitcoin, it stands out among altcoin ETFs. The cumulative net assets of the five spot ETFs tracking XRP are close to US$1.7 billion, and the cumulative inflow is slightly higher at US$1.8 billion. In its most recent trading day, the XRP ETF attracted $3.14 million in funds, bringing total inflows over a 30-day period to $112.01 million.
Solana lags behind among major ETF performers
Despite offering more ETF products, Solana still lags behind XRP on a number of indicators. Nine spot ETFs provide investors with exposure to Solana, holding a total of approximately $1.93 billion in assets. However, its cumulative net inflow was US$1.59 billion, lower than XRP. Data from the most recent trading day reflected this negative trend: the Solana ETF reported a net daily outflow of $3.68 million, which was in sharp contrast to the continued positive inflow of XRP.
Altcoin ETF asset size remains the smallest
Compared with several other major altcoin spot ETF products, some other altcoin spot ETF products are smaller in scale. Zcash ETF currently holds approximately US$789 million in assets. Hyperliquid ETF products are approximately US$507 million, Chainlink is approximately US$236 million, and BNB is approximately US$102 million.
Volatility remains despite ETF growth
Even if ETF inflows increase, prices of major cryptocurrencies remain volatile. Bitcoin, which is trading close to $84,100, had previously encountered resistance below $87,000 again. While the overall trend for BTC remains bullish, momentum has slowed and current immediate support is being tested around $83,000. If it breaks below that level, market attention may shift to a shorter moving average, around $82,000.
XRP's price trend also weakened, falling to around US$1.47 after failing to maintain its momentum of exceeding US$1.50. The first support level is currently around $1.45, and the stronger support area is between $1.38 and $1.40.
ETF demand continues to be concentrated on Bitcoin, which attracts most institutional spot ETF investments. XRP has become a major altcoin contender, sometimes surpassing Solana in terms of net ETF inflows and occupying a clear position among the largest non-Bitcoin ETF products in the United States.
