Squid Router is connected to Send wallet and is based on the Canton Network CIP-103 standard.

Squid Router has been integrated into the Canton Network official wallet Send and adopts Canton Network's CIP-103 dApp API standard. This move allows Send users to directly exchange cross-chain assets without leaving the wallet interface.

CIP-103 is a standard interface specification that defines how decentralized applications (dApps) interact with the Canton network. It standardizes the process by which applications connect wallets, submit transactions, and listen for ledger events.

Conceptually, CIP-103 is to the Canton network what EIP-1193 is to the Ethereum ecosystem. This standard adapts to Canton's unique privacy protection and multi-domain architecture.

Once wallets support the standard, it will automatically appear in the discovery components of all CIP-103-compatible dApps, eliminating the need to develop separate integrated interfaces for each application.

User-accessible features

Through the integration of Squid Router, Send users can exchange assets across different blockchains on a single platform. Supported Canton native assets include CC, USDCx and cBTC. In addition, users can also access tokenized commodities such as gold and silver.

Squid Router supports more than 100 blockchains and more than 20,000 tokens, covering EVM chains such as Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base and Polygon, as well as non-EVM networks such as Solana, Cosmos, Sui, and specifically includes dedicated ecosystems such as Canton.

Squid aggregates liquidity from more than 130 decentralized exchanges (DEX) and off-chain sources to route exchanges between almost any token pair. According to Squid Router, this infrastructure is designed to provide users with higher mobility and narrower spreads.

A key asset in this integration is cBTC, which represents bitcoins on the Canton network and is fully backed by real BTC in a 1:1 ratio. The move is part of a broader strategy to make Canton a more open and interoperable ecosystem.

By uniformly adhering to the CIP-103 standard, the Canton ecosystem is moving towards a "plug and play" environment where compliant applications and wallets will be able to easily interoperate.
