Ripple significantly expands GSmart AI capabilities, reshaping a new paradigm of corporate treasury management
Blockchain and financial technology giant Ripple announced that it has significantly expanded the coverage of GSmart's artificial intelligence capabilities in its corporate treasury management platform Ripple Treasury. According to Ripple's official statement, GSmart aims to provide AI-based decision support to the finance team, covering key aspects such as cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, risk analysis, reconciliation and reporting processes. Ripple also pointed out that GSmart has been actively used by institutional customers.
AI provides advice, humans control decision-making
A distinctive feature of GSmart is that artificial intelligence does not process financial transactions completely autonomously. When the system deems it necessary, it will propose specific operational suggestions or procedures to the enterprise, and clearly mark the company's policies or control mechanisms on which the suggestions are based. However, manual approval must be obtained before a transaction is executed. Currently, Ripple positions this model as a "managed AI" model.
According to the statement, the new feature aims to enable GSmart to leverage AI agents in various financial processes. The system will "analyze cash flow forecasts, monitor liquidity conditions, identify financial risks, support the reconciliation process, perform reporting and analysis, and detect abnormal risks and policy violations."
Ripple also disclosed relevant data: 60% of eligible institutional customers have started using the "Risk Insights" feature, and 44% of customers have enabled the "Forecast Insights" feature.
Renaat Ver Eecke, vice president of treasury at Ripple, said: "Every chief financial officer (CFO) is under pressure to embrace AI, but they also have a responsibility to ensure that every financial decision is explainable, manageable and compliant. GSmart does not require customers to blindly trust AI systems, but rather ensures that control of every decision is always in the hands of people, while providing transparent advice within the organization's own treasury policy framework. This is not just AI-driven treasury management, but also artificial intelligence driven by treasury needs."
Market Impact and Outlook
According to expert analysis, GSmart's release does not directly reveal the new XRP usage or purchase mechanism, so it is not expected to have a direct and significant impact on XRP prices in the short term. However, this development is important for Ripple to expand its infrastructure in corporate finance.
