SOL Solana launches a new transaction update, significantly increasing data capacity
In order to significantly improve transaction efficiency, Solana officially introduced the "Transaction V1" update. This upgrade expands the data capacity that can be transmitted for a single transaction by approximately 3.3 times. The move is designed to support more complex transaction scenarios and privacy applications, demonstrating that Solana is working hard to narrow the gap with competitors such as Ethereum. At the same time, the investment market surrounding Solana has also shown significant activity, and the Solana Spot ETF has welcomed huge capital inflows.
How does transaction capacity expand?
The Solana Foundation has introduced a new Transaction V1 format that increases the upper limit of transaction data to 4,096 bytes. This feature is activated around 01:00 UTC time. The enhancement focuses mainly on the amount of data the exchange can process, rather than transactions per second (TPS). By allowing more instructions and signatures to be accommodated in a single transaction, it solves the previous limitation of having to split operations into multiple transactions due to the complexity of the task. This upgrade aims to provide more powerful functional support for operations that require multiple approvals and zero-knowledge proof applications.
How is the investment market performing?
