Brevan Howard has reached an expansion agreement with Ripple Prime to obtain multi-asset prime brokerage services.

Ripple Prime will provide multi-asset prime brokerage, clearing and financing services to funds owned by global asset manager Brevan Howard. Brevan Howard is a global investment firm with approximately US$35 billion under management.

According to an announcement released on Tuesday, under the framework of the extension agreement reached between the two parties, Brevan Howard will be able to fully use the services provided by Ripple Prime in traditional financial markets and digital asset markets. This cooperation builds on the existing cooperative relationship between the two companies. It is reported that funds related to Brevan Howard participated in a US$500 million investment in Ripple in 2025, when the valuation reached US$40 billion.

Alan McGroarty, chief operating officer of Brevan Howard, said: "As traditional markets and digital markets become increasingly integrated, there is a growing demand for digital asset infrastructure with institutional-level standards to provide investors with a seamless investment experience."

Brevan Howard serves a global range of client groups, including sovereign wealth funds, corporate and public pension plans, foundations, and endowments.

The signing of the agreement comes as Ripple accelerates the expansion of its main brokerage business. In August, Ripple raised $275 million through the issuance of senior notes to support its expansion in prime brokerage, financing and multi-asset clearing. Ripple's prime brokerage business was officially launched after the acquisition of prime broker Hidden Road in 2025 for approximately US$1.25 billion.
