Bullish expectations in the bitcoin options market strengthen, whale's massive buying pushes up the thousand-dollar target
Despite the recent rebound, Bitcoin, the dominant cryptocurrency, still faces challenges in continuing to break through the US$87,000 mark. Currently, Bitcoin prices remain sideways and volatile in the range of US$85,000 to US$86,000, and market expectations for the upward trend of BTC are gradually heating up.
Against this background, Coinbase Markets analysts brought the latest analysis. According to assessments released by Platform X accounts, short-term bullish sentiment in the Bitcoin options market has increased significantly.
Strong call demand in the options market
Coinbase analysts pointed out that at the same strike price and the same expiration date, the implied volatility of Bitcoin Call Options for a cycle is 2.1 points higher than that of Put Options. This difference accounts for 91% of the historical distribution, and chart data suggests that investors have shown strong demand for call options designed to profit from Bitcoin's rise.
However, Coinbase Markets also emphasized that it is unclear whether this model reflects a rational bullish outlook or excessive unilateral demand for call options, so this situation needs to be closely monitored.
Giant whale purchases US$1.22 billion worth of assets, US$100,000 target is back in sight
At a time when Bitcoin is difficult to break through US$87,000, the buying trends of large investors have attracted widespread attention. Well-known analyst Ali Martinez pointed out in his analysis that since October 1, Giant Whales have purchased more than 14,335 bitcoins, and at current prices, these assets are worth approximately US$1.22 billion. The analyst believes the move may indicate that the market is laying out for a potential move towards $100,000.
The key support level is in the US$83,300 -84,600 range, focusing on the US$86,700 resistance level
Combined with price trend analysis, analysts pointed out that BTC has been fluctuating in the US$83,000 - 86,700 range in the past two weeks. On-chain data shows that the US$83,300 to US$84,600 region has formed a strong support level, with approximately 1.59 million bitcoins traded in this region.
Analysts said that if Bitcoin can break through US$86,700 and confirm that the support is in effect, then there will be no similar supply concentration before US$105,000. He added that the accumulation behavior of the giant whale also confirms this view; if support remains strong and BTC successfully breaks through resistance at the upper end of the range, then $100,000 will become a realistic target.
