Ripple-backed t54.ai launches XRPL-based AI payment center
Ripple-backed enterprise t54.ai announced that it has launched an AI payment center on XRP Ledger (XRPL). At the same time, the network is said to have processed more than 1 million AI-driven payments. t54.ai\'s announcement on the X platform stated that the center is an infrastructure specially designed for machine-to-machine payments on XRPL and aims to allow AI agents to independently use XRPL track settlement transactions.
t54.ai, operating with the support of Ripple, is building a payment layer specifically designed for AI workloads. The center is designed to handle automated, programmable transactions rather than traditional user-initiated transfers.
What the 1 million AI payment milestone means
At the same time as the center\'s release, there were reports that XRP Ledger had completed more than 1 million AI payments. This milestone is seen as evidence that automated agents, rather than human traders, are driving the growth in usage on the chain. However, this figure reflects the number of transactions rather than the transaction amount or the number of unique users.
