Made in the United States reveals: Using XRP to combat counterfeit goods

Made in USA Inc. Using XRP ledgers to develop a digital verification platform

According to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Made in USA Inc. is turning to XRP ledgers to develop a digital verification platform aimed at improving transparency in the U.S. supply chain. The company plans to use blockchain infrastructure to help verify the origin of products, increase trust in \"Made in America\" claims, and address the growing problem of counterfeit goods.

In a Form 8-K filing filed on June 26, the company stated that it acquired the platform\'s technology stack from affiliated company Made in USA One LLC in an all-stock transaction, which is built on the public and private XRPL and Hyperledger frameworks, with a transaction value of approximately $25 million, or 5 million restricted stock shares. The platform is still under development.

XRPL helps verification of US-made products

Made in USA Inc. focuses on providing digital product certification, source verification and authenticity solutions for US-made products. Its planned platform aims to provide manufacturers, distributors, retailers and consumers with a clearer way to confirm whether products labeled \"Made in America\" are truly traceable to the U.S. supply chain.

This move targets a major problem in global trade: counterfeiting. Counterfeit products cause huge economic losses and undermine consumer confidence. The OECD estimates that counterfeiting trade amounts to approximately US$467 billion per year, accounting for approximately 2.3% of global imports.

To address this issue, Made in USA Inc. plans to combine AI-driven verification tools with blockchain records based on XRP ledgers. The platform is expected to allow companies to register product information, verify source data and store supply chain records in a tamper-resistant manner.

The key part of the system is its hybrid blockchain architecture. Sensitive business information can be retained in the Private Cloud, while selected attestation points, authenticity records, or cryptographic checksums are anchored to the public blockchain. This model is designed to protect confidentiality while still allowing independent verification.

For manufacturers, the platform can simplify the compliance process, reduce the risk of counterfeiting, and give customers more confidence that products that sell on Made in the United States are authentic and well-documented.

This project also reflects the expanded role of XRP ledgers beyond payments and cross-border settlements. XRPL, which has long been associated with financial transactions, is increasingly being positioned as a trust layer for enterprise applications. If Made in USA Inc. successfully launches the platform, similar companies may borrow the ledger for supply chain certification and digital certificates.

This announcement comes as more and more companies are exploring the use of XRP ledgers for commercial blockchain applications. Ripple reports strong growth in tokenized assets on XRPL, with transaction volume rising sharply during 2025. The transaction volume of tokenized assets on the Internet increased from US$24.7 million to US$568 million by the end of 2025, an increase of approximately 2200%. Ripple\'s RLUSD stablecoin launched in December 2024 has become a key part of the ecosystem.

Other stablecoins, including USDC, XSGD and EURØP, have also been registered on the XRP ledger. XSGD is pegged to the Singapore dollar, and EURØP is a MiCA compliant euro stablecoin designed for payments, tokenization and digital asset transactions.

The XRPL EVM sidechain will be launched on the main network in June 2025, marking another step in the ecosystem. Ripple said that more than 1400 smart contracts were deployed within the first week of sidechains launch, extending XRPL to smart contracts and decentralized application areas. Investor interest is also growing: The spot XRP ETF, launched in November, has reportedly attracted more than $1 billion in inflows, with some reports putting the figure close to $1.49 billion.

Together, these developments demonstrate that Ripple is working to position XRPL and RLUSD as a more diversified blockchain ecosystem, expanding from cross-border payments to tokenization, stablecoins, smart contracts and corporate verification. Ripple recently obtained a full MiCA license covering all 30 countries in the European Economic Area, a development that further advances the strategy, allowing the company to provide regulated payment and encryption services throughout the region.
