Ripple Treasury expands corporate finance, integrates with GTreasury

Ripple Treasury has once again attracted attention as SWIFT prepares to test distributed ledger technology for international payments among participating financial institutions. The move strengthens Ripple\'s corporate payments strategy after Ripple Treasury joined the SWIFT Certified Partner Program in April 2026. Although the announcement boosted market interest, analysts remain divided on whether Ripple Treasury and SWIFT pilots will translate into stronger demand for XRP. As of press time, XRP was trading at approximately US$1.09, with a moderate daily increase.

Analysts debate XRP as Ripple Treasury builds an enterprise tool

Ripple Treasury combines Ripple\'s blockchain infrastructure with GTreasury\'s corporate treasury software to help companies manage liquidity, reconciliations, payments, cash forecasting and risk management on one platform. GTreasury also said it will continue to invest in engineering, AI-driven analysis and automation after expanding its reconciliation capabilities through the acquisition of Solvexia.

\"Achieve 24/7 cross-border payments using tokenized deposits on six continents.\" Sorry,$XRP holders, but \"bridge currency\" and \"liquidity\" are tokenized deposits, not the first tier of fuel tokens-the latter are only used to charge a very small fee to prevent spam on the chain... -- Fishy Catfish (@CatfishFishy) July 9, 2026

Despite the positive developments, analyst Fishy Catfish believes investors should not assume that SWIFT plans will directly benefit XRP. According to the analyst, the pilot relies on tokenized bank deposits rather than XRP as a bridge asset. Under this model, tokenized fiat acts as a settlement and liquidity layer, while blockchain-native tokens are mainly used to pay small network fees.

SWIFT pilot focuses on interbank tokenized deposits

According to SWIFT, the pilot will examine whether distributed ledger technology can improve cross-border payments between participating banks. Standard Chartered Bank and UBS are among the participating institutions, and both banks already maintain business relationships with Ripple through crypto custody services or payment infrastructure built on XRP ledgers.

The pilot is another step in Ripple\'s broader corporate strategy through Ripple Treasury, but its payment design has sparked discussions about XRP\'s role in institutional clearing. While Ripple continues to expand its financial infrastructure, market participants remain concerned about whether future bank integrations will create direct utility for XRP or rely mainly on tokenized deposits.
