Bitcoin fluctuates within a narrow range, with prices fluctuating around US$86,152
According to the latest data from CoinGecko, Bitcoin has recently been trading in the range of US$83,000 to US$86,700 for about two weeks. In the past 24 hours, Bitcoin has risen slightly by 0.31%, reaching a weekly gain of 2.22%. Although price movements are relatively restrained, the current trading volume is still as high as US$27.97 billion, indicating that market activity continues.
The US$83,300 to US$84,600 range forms key support
Cryptocurrency analyst Ali Charts pointed out that the US$83,300 to US$84,600 range has formed a significant technical support area. According to URPD (UTXO realized price distribution) data analysis, approximately 1.59 million bitcoins changed hands within this range, indicating that market participants have strong buying interest in this position. These chip dense areas indicate that a large number of holders are entering near this level, and they may actively defend their positions, thereby helping to stabilize the currency price.
The URPD indicator tracks the price of the last move of a unit on the Bitcoin chain, charting the concentrated area where coins have been recently purchased. Dense groups in this data can highlight key areas where buyers are willing to step in and support assets. Ali Charts reported that since October 1, large holders known as "whales" have increased their holdings of more than 14,335 bitcoins, with inflows of approximately US$1.22 billion. This cumulative trend suggests that influential investors may be preparing for potential upward breakthroughs.

This is a measure that shows the price of Bitcoin last moved on the chain, providing insight into support and resistance levels based on the holder's entry point.
Analysts focus on breakthrough potential of US$86,700
Experts point out that according to URPD analysis, the supply of bitcoin above the current price is still scarce. Ali Charts noted that if BTC can break through $86,700, the next significant chip concentration area will appear around $105,000. This lack of supply from above could eliminate selling pressure and open up room for prices to move into six figures.
Chart analyst SIRRILLAH also highlighted this possibility. He observed that Bitcoin had broken through resistance levels of $66,000 and $82,000, setting $87,000 as the next key hurdle. He believes that if it can effectively stand above $87,000, it will pave the way for prices to move towards $100,000.
Trader Daan Crypto Trades pointed out that the $85,000 level is often tested and sometimes serves as both support and resistance roles in intraday trading. A slightly lower high has formed above $87,000, and a similar chip cluster exists around $83,000, which may mean that once either barrier is decisively breached, a price squeeze will soon be triggered.
Trader divergence and downside risks
Not all traders are optimistic about rapid gains. Analyst Lennaert Snyder is defending the $85,000 level near previous daily lows and has established a short-term short position against $84,400 while maintaining a bullish view on a higher time frame. Snyder closely watches $84,900 as a pivot point; failure to hold that position could cause the price to drop to $82,500. If support fails, he sees $74,000 as the next potential downside target.
SIRRILLAH expressed similar caution, warning that if $87,000 continues to suppress the rebound,$74,000 may eventually become the focus of attention. Currently, buyers need to protect the support range of $83,300 to $84,600, while $86,700 remains a key resistance level that must be broken to restore bullish momentum.
Analysts pointed out that any significant break below these key support levels could cause the market structure to shift in favor of sellers, with $82,500 and $74,000 identified as important low ranges that need to be closely monitored in the short term.
