Priority access expands Zcash mining plan

Fortitude signed a letter of intent with BITMAIN to obtain priority access to the next generation of Zcash mining equipment. If Fortitude executes the order, the non-binding purchase commitment could reach US$100 million. Fortitude is required to pay a refundable deposit of $20 million, equivalent to 20% of the proposed commitment amount. DCG increased Fortitude's credit line from US$50 million to US$70 million, with approximately US$42.7 million still available. Fortitude currently has an operating power of 4.7 GSol/s. It previously ordered 9,000 Z15 Pro miners and is expected to increase the computing power of 7.56 GSol/s.

Priority access to expand Zcash mining plan

Fortitude Mining Holdings has signed a letter of intent with BITMAIN to ensure continued access to unreleased Zcash mining equipment. The agreement includes a non-binding commitment to purchase up to $100 million worth of next-generation equipment. The move continues Fortitude's expansion into Zcash mining after the company has expanded its Equihash algorithm mining and power coverage. Management said that acquiring equipment in advance will help the company introduce new hardware in a timely manner when Bitmain brings new products to market.

Fortitude currently operates an Equihash rate of approximately 4.7 GSol/s. The company controls more than 60 megawatts of contract power capacity at seven sites in South Dakota, Nebraska, Texas and New York.

In July, Fortitude agreed to purchase 9,000 Antminer Z15 Pro miners for $31.5 million. These equipment will increase production capacity by 7.56 GSol/s. The plan's implementation coincided with Zcash receiving support from THORChain after months of technical work.

As required by the letter of intent, Fortitude is required to pay a refundable deposit of US$20 million, which is 20% of the promised amount. The company plans to withdraw the money from its credit line this week.

Fortitude increased the credit line provided by its parent company Digital Currency Group (DCG) from US$50 million to US$70 million. There is still approximately US$42.7 million in borrowing lines available, which provides financial support for the company to pay deposits.

Building a business system around ZEC strategy

DCG spun Fortitude from Foundry's self-mining business in January 2025. Since then, Fortitude has established a venture capital mining model centered on Zcash. Grant approvals for Zcash have reached $8.39 million this month.

Fortitude continues to increase Zcash mining capacity as ZEC prices rise sharply. Zcash traded above $1,370 Tuesday, up 3.6% in 24 hours, as Fortitude prepared for a possible next round of hardware purchases.
