Crypto asset losses in the first half of 2026 fell 46.8% year-on-year to US$1.32 billion.

Blockchain security company CertiK issued a warning: Although the overall data appears to be improving, there is a more dangerous reality hidden behind it. Attackers \'methods are becoming more sophisticated, their targets are more precise, and the economic losses caused by a single attack are becoming more serious.

The situation in the two quarters is completely different.

CertiK pointed out in the report that the first quarter was dominated by phishing attacks, causing losses of US$508.2 million. In the second quarter, wallet intrusion became the most important attack method, with total quarterly losses reaching US$807.5 million, a month-on-month surge of 59%.
