On September 4, South Korean Bitcoin experienced a 1.06%"kimchi premium"
As of 12:00 am Korean Standard Time on September 4, the trading price of Bitcoin (BTC) on the South Korean Upbit Exchange was 110.46 million won, an increase of 3.81% from the previous day. On the global exchange Binance, the price of BTC is 109.3 million won, with a price difference of 1.16 million won between the two, and the "kimchi premium" is 1.06%.
Ethereum (ETH), the leading altcoin, also experienced a "kimchi premium" of 1.14%. Other major altcoins also trade at a premium, with Solana (SOL) at a premium of 1.21%, XRP at 1.14%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at 1.22%, and Sui (SUI) at 1.10%. Currently, the "kimchi premium" of most mainstream altcoins is concentrated in the range of 1.1% to 1.2%.
