XRP: The evolution from cross-border payments to financial infrastructure
XRP, as one of the few projects in the cryptocurrency market that has long been committed to building practical application scenarios, has always attracted much attention. Its core advantage lies in its ability to provide fast and low-cost transfer services for cross-border payments, which constitutes the most basic application scenario of XRP. On XRP Ledger (XRPL), transaction confirmations can be completed in just a few seconds; at the same time, XRP can also serve as a bridge currency between different fiat currencies and assets.
Recently, the focus of the market is no longer limited to purely payment functions, but has shifted to XRPL that is gradually evolving into a broader financial infrastructure. The network is constantly introducing new features, covering areas such as tokenization, decentralized finance (DeFi), credit markets, and institutional finance.
Ripple plans to increase investment in institutional DeFi and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization in 2026. At the same time, the expansion of ecosystems continues. According to Ripple, more than US$550 million has been invested so far in developing the XRPL ecosystem and approximately 200 projects have been supported. In addition, the addition of stablecoin solution RLUSD further broadens the application boundaries of the financial infrastructure in which XRP is located. It is worth noting that RLUSD is expected to open to institutional users in Turkey in 2026, which is an interesting development.
Technical analysis: XRP/USDT trend analysis

Looking at the 4-hour chart of XRP/USDT, XRP had previously risen from $1 to $1.70 before moving into a downtrend. Prices hit support at $1.30 yesterday and triggered a rally in a series of new lows. For this rally to turn into a real rally, the XRP first needs to break through the key resistance level of $1.43. If the price can close above this position, it is expected to further explore to $1.55. However, if XRP cannot effectively stabilize at US$1.43, XRP may still continue to hit new lows. Therefore, observing whether there is a trend reversal signal is crucial to judging whether the downtrend is over.
