ZEC Zcash 社区投票决定保留比特币式减半机制并缩短区块时间
根据9月14日发布的 NU7 持币人投票结果，Zcash 持币人已投票决定保留该网络类似比特币的减半时间表，并将区块生成时间从75秒缩短至25秒。此次加权投票由 Valar Group、Project Tachyon 与 Zcash 基金会联合组织，吸引了约240万枚 ZEC 参与，远超组织者设定的100万枚 ZEC 有效投票门槛。
这一结果将塑造 Zcash 下一次重大网络升级 NU7 的最终形态，目前该升级正在准备激活。
减半机制与更快出块获得压倒性支持
几乎所有参与的 ZEC 都支持更快的结算速度。约有2,397,669枚 ZEC（约占投票总数的99.9%）支持将目标区块间隔缩短至25秒，仅有141.6枚 ZEC 反对这一变更。
在另一个关于发行平滑处理的问题上，约2,375,932枚 ZEC（约占98.9%）支持保留 Zcash 类似比特币的减半机制，而非采用更平缓的新币奖励递减曲线。减半机制会在固定时间间隔内将矿工区块奖励减半，持币人显然希望维持这一既定节奏。
此外，投票还确定了另外两项议题：2,319,643枚 ZEC 支持从2031年2月开始回收通过“网络可持续性机制”移除的 ZEC；2,333,854枚 ZEC 支持在 NU7 激活时立即弃用旧的 Sprout 池。
注重隐私保护的投票设计
The design of the ballot was as eye-catching as the results. Only ZECs held in Ironwood (Zcash's latest blocked pool) are eligible to vote, and ballots are encrypted and divided into 16 copies before counting. Verifier can calculate the final total without knowing the specific voting intentions of each coin holder or how much ZEC any single participant controls, thereby giving weight to economic interests without exposing the balance.
The system replaces the earlier voting process and is in sharp contrast to the popularity survey in February this year that attracted only 7.25% participation from circulating supply. The results build on Zcash's broader efforts to promote faster private payments, including projects such as Zakura, which significantly reduces the time to prove private transactions.
Future Outlook for the NU7 Upgrade
Regarding timing, approximately 2,382,601 ZECs (99.3%) support the deployment of NU7 as soon as possible, while abandoning any features that are not completed before the September 30 deadline to ensure that the upgrade can proceed as planned even if some components are delayed.
This vote clarified the specific content of the NU7 upgrade, but will not change the maximum supply limit of Zcash, and its total amount will remain fixed. The move follows the details of the NU7 voting set out in August, when organizers first outlined the issues and the dedicated voting chain used to count votes.
