XLM Peter Brandt discovers the potential of Stellar (XLM)
After decades of market booms and busts, veteran trader Peter Brandt has set his sights on an unexpected competitor in the crypto market. Brandt recently highlighted Stellar (XLM), a long-standing XRP competitor, as a potential long-term "dark horse" that has received renewed attention as investors look for crypto assets with surprising potential.
Peter Brandt specifically selected Stellar (XLM) as a crypto asset worthy of long-term attention, suggesting that the token could become a high-profile "unpopular" opportunity in the next few years. Brandt made clear his long-term outlook for XLM in a recent post about Platform X, writing: "If you want to bet on an 'unpopular stock'(in the next few years),$XLM is a good choice."
Brant attached a long-term monthly chart when expressing his bullish views on XLM. 
This chart tracks XLM's price movements since the 2017 - 2018 cryptocurrency boom and highlights a huge downtrend line that connects major historical highs in multiple market cycles, including the 2021 rally. Below the price, Brandt drew an upwardly sloping support line, creating a huge contraction pattern that has been developing over the years.
