RLUSD Ripple will integrate the Swell, Apex and UBRI summits in New York, joining industry leaders such as BNY, ICE and Robinhood
Ripple announced that the "Swell" conference to be held in New York in 2026 will bring together senior leaders from major financial institutions, including Bank of New York Mellon (BNY), Intercontinental Exchange Group (ICE), TD Securities and Robinhood. The conference is expected to attract approximately 1,500 participants and for the first time integrates the Apex Summit, which focuses on XRP Ledger technology, with UBRI Connect, which aims to promote academic blockchain development, into a single event.
Important financial leaders talk about industry transformation
The guest lineup for this event reflects Ripple's ambition to strengthen the connection between traditional finance and digital finance in various fields. Each institution will provide insights on different areas such as custody, trading, liquidity, stablecoins, tokenized securities, and extensive consumer access.
Laide Majiyagbe, who represents Bank of New York Mellon (BNY), will host a discussion on how tokenized money market funds, stablecoins, liquidity and settlement innovations affect institutional markets. Ripple's cooperation with BNY has gone beyond oral discussion: BNY has been selected as the main custodian of RLUSD reserves, and the arrangement will be officially launched in 2025.
Recently, Ripple's RLUSD reserves have grown to approximately US$2.53 billion, and the circulating supply exceeds US$2.4 billion, which further highlights the important role of BNY in custody.
