Evernorth identified international expansion as its second strategic pillar. The company plans to develop an international expansion blueprint and initially target markets with strong demand for XRP, particularly Japan and South Korea.
These markets already have significant XRP activity, providing a mature market foundation for Evernorth's expansion plans. SMQKE also cited a presentation from SBI Group that provided more details about Evernorth's planned operations. The presentation showed Evernorth plans to lend XRP to institutional investors and use decentralized finance (DeFi) to generate additional revenue.
As a result, Evernorth intends to actively deploy its XRP vault rather than just holding the asset.
Planning for XRP-based revenue generation
Evernorth's third pillar focuses on diversified revenue generation. The company plans to invest its XRP vault into activities that can generate returns while managing risk.
The SBI Group presentation also stated that Evernorth plans to operate an XRP Ledger verification node. The move will allow the company to play a direct operational role in the XRP Ledger ecosystem while developing a wider range of XRP-related businesses.
SBI Group has committed US$200 million in cash to Evernorth, and the company has raised more than US$1 billion in total funding. Evernorth also plans to hire a large auditor to review its financial statements, adding another layer of financial oversight as it begins implementing its XRP-centered strategy.
