周三，以太坊（Ethereum）联合创始人Vitalik Buterin表示，人工智能加速的数学研究可能比预期更早地突破椭圆曲线数字签名算法（ECDSA）。但他同时指出，目前并不建议行业仓促进行钱包地址迁移。
Buterin强调，因操作失误导致的资产损失往往超过黑客攻击带来的损害。他建议，将资金保留在从未签署过交易的地址中，是一种合理且有效的预防措施。
这一警告紧随以太坊基金会研究员Justin Drake之后发出。Drake此前呼吁行业做好“战备模式”准备，背景是OpenAI周二发布了一项内部模型产生的新数学成果。

Drake在社交媒体X上发文指出，作为绝大多数加密货币钱包安全基石的ECDSA签名方案，可能在“Q日”（即量子计算机能够击败广泛使用的公钥密码学的时刻）之前就被攻破。在最坏的情况下，这一突破可能在几个月内发生。
Drake的警告基于OpenAI周二发布的数学研究成果。这些结果由一款尚未公开的模型生成，涉及该公司未完全详述的开放性问题。Drake认为，近期数学进步的节奏表明，“数学超级智能已经到来”。
Drake recommends a gradual, controlled approach to migrating funds to new addresses where no transaction has ever been signed, hiding the wallet's public key behind a cryptographic hash. He said large holders should take the lead and warned against falling into panic.
Buterin added: Grid ciphers are also at risk
Buterin's response expands concerns beyond ECDSA to a wider area. He pointed out that previous plans often assumed that hash functions and lattice-based cryptographic schemes would remain secure even if elliptic curves were breached. But he said that with further breakthroughs in AI in the field of mathematics in the next two years, lattice-based cryptography security may also be affected.
He specifically mentioned risky areas such as ML-DSA (machine learning-driven digital signature algorithm) and fully homomorphic encryption, and urged more conservative lattice parameter settings and greater reliance on hash-based structures.
In addition, Buterin also recommends that privacy agreements should avoid placing cryptographic notes on the chain, but should send them offline through third-party mechanisms.
Regarding the specific migration operation, Buterin reiterated that configuration errors or hasty upgrades may lead to actual asset losses, and holders should not rush for success.
