Ethereum was trading around $2,493, Crypto Tony targeted resistance at $2,530, and subsequent obstacles were in the $2,560 - 2,600 range.
Ethereum rebounded to around $2,493 after falling from nearly $2,700 in early October. Analysts Crypto Patel and Crypto Tony respectively described different price scenarios. Crypto Tony expects prices to move towards $2,530, while Crypto Patel's long-term Elliott Wave analysis identifies $50,000 as a potential fifth-wave target.
Crypto Tony focuses on Ethereum's US$2,530 supply area
As of October 10, 2026, the Ethereum trading price was US$2,492.78, and the latest four-hour K line rose 0.12%. However, due to continuous declines from October 7 to October 9, the overall short-term trend remains bearish.
Previously, Ethereum climbed from approximately US$2,380 on September 16 to nearly US$2,800 on September 21 - 22. The price then consolidated between $2,650 and $2,720 before selling pushed the price lower to around $2,430.

Crypto Tony expects Ethereum to fluctuate within the current range and then attempts to hit the supply area near US$2,530. This level constitutes direct resistance, followed by a $2,560 - 2,600 range. Support remains around $2,450-$2,430, and if resistance is effective, a further downside test for $2,400 may occur.
Ethereum indicator shows weakening bearish momentum
The Ethereum four-hour Relative Strength Index (RSI) was at 35.12, above its signal average of 28.50. Although the RSI is still below the neutral level of 50, it has rebounded from levels close to or below 30.
The Smoothing Similarity Moving Average (MACD) indicator also showed moderate improvement. The MACD line is-45.55, the signal line is-48.28, and the histogram reading is positive 2.73. However, both lines are below the zero axis, indicating that a broader bearish structure still exists. A breakthrough of $2,530 could open up room to move towards $2,560 - 2,600, while a rejection could expose support near $2,450 and $2,400.
Crypto Patel charts long-term goals for Ethereum
Unlike Crypto Tony, who focuses on immediate price structures, Crypto Patel outlines a longer-term scenario based on Ethereum's rising channel and macro Elliott Wave model.
Patel identified US$1,000 - 1,600 as the main historical support level and US$4,500 - 5,000 as the resistance level for the previous cycle. He predicted an extended third-wave target of $14,000, while a potential fifth-wave target reached $50,000.
These levels represent Patel's long-term forecasts rather than confirmed price results. His analysis places potential fifth-wave expansion within Ethereum's broader ascending channel structure.
