Open Money Stack 的核心功能
Open Money Stack
Polygon Chain, as one of its payment networks, has processed over $3 trillion in stablecoin transactions to date. Although the unified integration is currently in the technical preview phase for specific customers, its underlying architecture already possesses powerful processing capabilities.
The first users of this technology include companies engaged in cross-border payments and global salary distribution.
Polygon announced that Tazapay, Mesh, Toku, and Kira have become among the first customers to adopt the Open Money Stack. This technology is used for cross-border commercial payments, account funding, global salary distribution, and US dollar banking services.
Tazapay: Optimizes cross-border financial flows.
Tazapay utilizes the digital wallet and fiat conversion infrastructure provided by the Open Money Stack to facilitate payments between stablecoins and local currencies. The company offers cross-border payment services to over 1,000 enterprises and fintech companies in more than 30 countries. With Polygon’s integration, Tazapay can combine its existing local bank and SWIFT payment connections, enabling customers to receive, hold, and pay funds using stablecoins. This reduces intermediate steps, improves payment efficiency, and lowers costs.
Mesh: Overcomes barriers to accessing funds.
Mesh integrates Polygon’s fiat payment services into its existing encrypted payment network, connecting over 300 wallets, exchanges, and financial service providers. Mesh’s CEO, Bam Azizi, noted that the main bottleneck in stablecoin payments lies in “funding access.” Polygon’s infrastructure provides users with a new way to fund their accounts, eliminating the need for payment providers to maintain separate connections to each supported service.
Toku: Simplifies global salary distribution.
Toku operates its global payroll infrastructure in over 100 countries, offering employer recordkeeping services. Through integration with Polygon, Toku allows employees to deposit their wages directly into digital wallets, and convert those funds into local currency through the same payroll process. CEO Ken O’Friel stated that while international employment regulations remain a challenge, Toku handles tax withholding and local reporting matters, while Polygon provides the technology needed to convert stablecoin earnings into local currency.
Kira: Connecting stablecoins with US bank accounts
Kira utilizes the Open Money Stack to expand the range of stablecoins available for its US banking services. The company serves fintech companies, OTC brokers, and import traders who require US dollar accounts and international payment capabilities. Through this integration, Kira aims to directly link stablecoin payments with US dollar deposits in customers’ bank accounts, thereby addressing the banking and compliance issues that businesses face after completing stablecoin transfers.
Ecosystem expansion and technological advancements
Polygon continues to expand its support network for the Open Money Stack. Recently, the platform added support for the TRON network, allowing businesses to accept assets such as USDT. Funds can be transferred between the TRON and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) networks using Polygon Trails. Additionally, the platform supports converting assets into USDC for fiat settlement.
In addition, PayPal USD (PYUSD) also launched native integration with Polygon in July. This provides enterprises with a comprehensive solution, including wallet services, compliance tools, and fiat currency conversion capabilities. Previous data shows that the total amount settled using Polygon’s stablecoins has exceeded $2.6 trillion, and latest reports indicate that this figure may even reach over $3 trillion.
At the technical level, Polygon has tested a proxy payment channel capable of processing over 11 million verification updates per second across 25 hubs. All settlement transactions are recorded on the Polygon Chain. Currently, various components of the Open Money Stack are already in operation, and a unified integrated version is being previewed to selected customers. Fintech companies and financial institutions can request access rights through the Polygon team.
