The supply of Ripple USD on Ethereum has decreased, and XRP Ledger\'s supply has overtaken
The supply of Ripple USD (RLUSD) on the Ethereum network has dropped significantly, with the latest data showing that it has dropped to approximately US$692 million. This trend has been accompanied by active token destruction and increased token issuance on XRP Ledger, changing the distribution pattern of RLUSD on different platforms.
How is Ethereum affected?
Ethereum was once the main hosting platform for RLUSD, but now it has undergone significant downsizing. The supply of RLUSD on Ethereum initially exceeded $727 million; recent activity shows that $115.4 million was destroyed in just seven days, while new issuance was only $49.3 million. On July 29, the gap between destruction and distribution was particularly obvious: US$25.9 million was destroyed that day, and only US$6.2 million was newly minted. This pattern suggests that RLUSD circulation on Ethereum has continued to shrink over the past 30 days.
Why is XRP Ledger leading in supply?
XRP Ledger now holds a larger share of RLUSD, surpassing Ethereum\'s holdings. In the past month alone, US$324.1 million of RLUSD was issued on XRP Ledger, with US$217.6 million destroyed. This continued trend has allowed XRP Ledger to further consolidate its dominant position, as RLUSD is expanding faster on the network than Ethereum.
The RLUSD issued by Ripple covers Ethereum and XRP Ledger, with significant growth mainly occurring in May and June 2026. With RLUSD\'s supply on XRP Ledger exceeding US$800 million, this milestone is significant in its history, especially considering its relatively limited supply in previous years.
What are the key points?
The supply of RLUSD on Ethereum is in a declining stage, and the amount of tokens destroyed far exceeds the amount issued.
XRP Ledger has become the dominant platform for RLUSD with large issuance (exceeding destruction).
Ripple continues to influence the circulating supply of RLUSD through continued strategic token management.
Recent authorization from Luxembourg will help Ripple expand its influence in the European fintech sector.
Ripple has further consolidated its key position in the digital asset space by obtaining approval from Luxembourg\'s crypto asset service provider. This regulatory license allows Ripple to offer its XRP and RLUSD solutions in Europe in accordance with the MiCA framework. This not only enhances its influence across the European continent, but also demonstrates Ripple\'s determination to expand its financial services landscape. According to Ripple, in the past 30 days, a total of $369.4 million of RLUSD was destroyed on the Ethereum network, and $167.6 million of new RLUSD was issued. This strategic regulatory move, combined with dynamic supply management, demonstrates that Ripple has adopted a prudent strategy in the ever-changing cryptocurrency market.
