Ripple stablecoin tracker data shows that the supply of Ripple USD (RLUSD) on the Ethereum network has dropped to approximately US$692 million. Although Ripple continues to control the circulating supply of RLUSD through a token destruction mechanism, the proportion of RLUSD in Ethereum has dropped significantly in recent weeks.

Continued contraction on Ethereum

In early July, the supply of RLUSD on Ethereum was still above US$727 million. Current data shows that this level has dropped significantly. In the past seven days, a total of US$115.4 million of RLUSD was destroyed on the Ethereum blockchain, and US$49.3 million was newly issued during the same period.

On July 29 alone, the Ethereum Network recorded US$25.9 million in RLUSD destruction and US$6.2 million in new releases. In the past 30 days, a total of US$369.4 million in RLUSD has been destroyed on Ethereum, and US$167.6 million has been newly issued. This model shows that redemptions on Ethereum have exceeded new issues.

A review of various time periods reveals the continued contraction trend on Ethereum. In the past seven days,$115.4 million of RLUSD was destroyed and $49.3 million was issued. On July 29, RLUSD destruction reached US$25.9 million, while circulation was only US$6.2 million. During the recent 30-day window, the total destruction of RLUSD was more than $200 million higher than the total circulation, indicating that its presence on Ethereum is weakening.

XRP ledger leads in RLUSD supply

Currently, the total circulating supply of RLUSD is approximately US$1.56 billion. On the XRP ledger, a total of US$324.1 million of RLUSD was minted and US$217.6 million was destroyed in the past 30 days. This allows XRP ledgers to continue to maintain a higher supply of RLUSD than the Ethereum network.

The first time RLUSD\'s presence on the XRP ledger surpassed Ethereum was in June. Although RLUSD in circulation was close to US$20 million at the end of 2024, by the end of June 2026, this figure had soared to nearly US$800 million. Among them, the most significant growth periods are May and June 2026.

Ripple is a US-based technology company known for developing payment infrastructure and digital asset solutions. The RLUSD it issues is a dollar-backed stablecoin that runs on both Ethereum and XRP ledgers.

Soaring transaction volume and European milestone

RLUSD has quickly become one of the most actively traded tokenized assets on the XRP ledger. Its share of overall chain trading volume has climbed to nearly 12% from less than 1% in 2026. Specifically, the RLUSD/XRP trading pair generated approximately US$900 million in trading volume over the past six months.

This week, Ripple received authorization as a crypto asset service provider from Luxembourg\'s financial regulator CSSF. The CSSF is the official body responsible for regulating Luxembourg\'s financial industry. With this approval, Ripple has demonstrated that it meets the requirements of the MiCA (Cryptographic Asset Markets Regulation Act) and is able to provide XRP and RLUSD-based solutions to financial institutions and businesses in all 30 countries of the European Economic Area.
