Back in 2013, a Bitcoin enthusiast named Laszlo Hanyecz created a message board post paying 10,000 bitcoins (worth about $25 at the time) to someone willing to deliver two pizzas to his home in Jacksonville, Florida. The two pizzas are said to have been purchased by another early Bitcoin user from the local Papa John\'s restaurant, marking the first time Bitcoin has been successfully used to purchase non-virtual goods. Fortunately, it\'s much easier to use Bitcoin today!

Easy to operate: Transactions using BTC are not much different from transactions using credit or debit cards, except that credit card information is not required, just enter the payment amount and the supplier\'s public key (similar to an email address) through the wallet application. (When using a smartphone or tablet for personal transactions, a QR code typically pops up to simplify the process.) When scanning the code, your wallet app will automatically enter relevant information.)

Protect privacy: One of the benefits of paying in Bitcoin is that doing so limits the amount of personal information that needs to be provided. The only time you need to share your name and address is when you want to purchase physical goods that need to be shipped.

Flexibility of use: How Bitcoin should be used depends entirely on your personal interests. Here are some suggestions:

You can use a trading platform or Bitcoin ATM to sell Bitcoin for cash.

You can use your Bitcoin debit card to spend online or at brick-and-mortar retailers just like you would spend in any other currency.

You can reserve some or all of it as part of your investment and savings strategy.

You can choose your favorite currency (please check out).

And, what if you have a big budget and have unrealized astronaut dreams? Richard Branson\'s Virgin Galactic happily accepted BTC in exchange for the opportunity to launch into space for an upcoming space travel mission.
