HAI Group has announced the launch of the CORE.3 risk intelligence platform. This platform introduces the first open-source, data-driven loss probability (POL) framework in the Web3 industry. The platform aims to convert complex on-chain activities into standardized, quantifiable risk metrics, providing a new approach for assessing operational and security risks related to digital asset projects.
Initially, the CORE.3 platform included risk assessments for 50 digital asset projects. It is planned to expand the coverage to over 1,000 projects within the next three months.

At the core of the platform are POL metrics, which are forward-looking numerical scores that estimate the probability of financial losses associated with specific crypto projects. These metrics offer a structured, data-driven alternative to traditional indicators such as total locked value (TVL) or market sentiment—indicators that have historically failed to capture operational vulnerabilities.
Data-driven risk assessment methods
According to HAI Group, the POL framework includes more than 100 data points across key risk dimensions such as security, financial integrity, operational stability, reputation, and compliance. This approach uses a three-tier structure:
● Conditions (Evidence): Such as facts like the status of audit remediation or administrator access controls.
● Metrics (Focus): For example, grouped evaluations in areas like smart contract risks and reserve transparency.
● Categories (Weighting): Priorities assigned to different risk categories, with higher weights given to critical factors like security.
The final POL score represents a quantifiable risk assessment. A higher score indicates a higher probability of losses.
A supplementary component called “opinion-based evaluation” is used to assess subjective indicators such as market relevance and ecosystem adoption. This layer is not included in the POL score to maintain the objectivity and quantitative nature of the framework.
Open access and industry participation
The CORE.3 platform operates as an open-access framework. Projects can choose to passively receive scores based on publicly available data, or actively participate in verifying inputs and addressing identified risks. This model aims to promote transparency and provide mechanisms for self-regulation within digital asset ecosystems.
