The Senate is about to hold a key vote on the CLARITY bill. Three major AI models predict: Who will benefit more from Bitcoin or Ethereum?
The landmark crypto legislation known as the "CLARITY Act" aims to establish a clear regulatory framework for digital assets in the United States. Many industry participants see it as a potential "game changer." The Senate closing debate vote on the bill is scheduled to be held tomorrow (September 15), and at least 60 votes are needed to advance the debate. Although lawmakers recently revised the bill to win more Democratic support, its final outcome remains uncertain.
Still, we would like to discuss which of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) would see a larger increase if the CLARITY bill was formally submitted to the Senate. To this end, we consulted the three most widely used AI-based chat bots, and here are their analysis results.
Views of ChatGPT and Perplexity
OpenAI's platform believes that if the bill is passed, Ethereum (ETH) is more likely to rebound strongly in percentage gains. It predicts that Bitcoin will benefit from improved overall market sentiment, but adds that Bitcoin already has a relatively clear "commodity" status, so the legislation will not fundamentally change its regulatory positioning.
ChatGPT also pointed out that Ethereum has greater scope to benefit because the CLARITY bill will reduce uncertainty about whether this asset and other online tokens will be considered securities. Taken together, the chatbot estimates that Bitcoin could rise by 5-10% after a potentially successful vote, while the second-largest cryptocurrency by market value could surge by 10-20% immediately after the announcement.
Perplexity shared similar views, predicting that Ethereum could rise sharply after such an event, with a target range of more than $2,000 to more than $3,000. It even further speculated that this could lay the stage for a major bull market towards a new all-time high above $5,000.
For Bitcoin, the chatbot is expected to initially exceed US$83,000. At the same time, it also warned that if the bill clearly fails, Bitcoin could fall to a local low of about $55,000.
Gemini's View
Google's chatbot also chose Ethereum and argued that if the CLARITY bill is passed successfully, Ethereum is generally expected to experience a larger proportion of rebound than Bitcoin.
It explained: "While both assets could benefit from regulatory progress, the structural dynamics of the CLARITY Act are more conducive to Ethereum's stronger upside potential."
Gemini suggested that the bill would generally benefit altcoins more than Bitcoin. It pointed out that the lower market value of altcoins relative to industry leaders means that institutional capital inflows of the same size trigger a greater proportion of price fluctuations.
