Endava shares plummet and UBS faces regulatory uncertainty

Endava shares plunged 12%, after the technology services company immediately terminated its chief financial officer role, placed Mark Thurston on administrative leave while conducting an independent accounting review. The company appointed Conor McShane as interim chief financial officer and hired consulting firm AlixPartners and outside legal counsel.

UBS shares fell 3 percent before the Swiss Parliament made a decision on bank capital requirements. CEO Sergio Ermotti warned that forcing the agency to maintain up to $20 billion in reserves could negatively affect dividend distribution and credit availability.

Market participants are watching closely whether Swiss lawmakers will approve a compromise that would allow part of the capital buffer to be composed of a tier of additional debt instruments, or instead impose stricter common equity requirements.

Stock index futures edged higher early Tuesday morning, as investors 'attention also turned to preliminary trade negotiations ahead of the upcoming U.S. -China bilateral summit.
