New infrastructure: EDGE Connect reduces the liquidation risk of night and weekend margin calls and enables capital flow and controlled capital access for AI agents, execution platforms and clearing institutions

New York, October 6, 2026 -- EDGE Markets today announced the launch of Programmatic Capital Allocation and Agent Access capabilities for EDGE Pro, its corporate banking platform for market makers and institutional traders. These new features are designed to empower eligible users to support institutional transactions in markets that operate around the clock.

The new infrastructure allows institutions to establish pre-certified accounts with clear authority and capital limits. Trading algorithms and AI agents can then perform approved activities within these parameters without gaining unlimited access to the institution's underlying accounts.

Institutions can determine in advance the amount of capital deployed, who will use it and for what purposes, including setting daily trading limits. For example, an agency could authorize an agent to allocate up to $100,000 per day and prevent it from accessing or moving any additional funds. These features will be available to all EDGE Pro users. EDGE Markets 'execution routing partners-River Markets, Open Markets, ParlayX and Pikkit-will also integrate these capabilities through EDGE's APIs, allowing traders to execute transactions on partner platforms of their choice while using EDGE Pro for banking services and capital allocation.

Markets are increasingly automated and global, but capital access and mobility infrastructure for predictive markets still lags behind actual demand

"Markets are becoming increasingly automated and global, but the infrastructure currently used to access and move capital to predictive markets falls far short of real-world needs," said Seni Thomas, Founder and CEO of EDGE Markets. EDGE Markets is creating a secure, programmable layer between institutional capital and the platforms, counterparties and agents authorized to use it. This enables companies to automate at scale while maintaining clear control over the size and direction of capital flows, including at night and on weekends."

Solving the Weekend Margin Problem

EDGE Markets has also expanded its private banking channel EDGE Connect to address the structural challenges facing perpetual contracts and other 24/7 markets: trading never stops, but traditional banking channels rest. When margin calls occur overnight or on weekends, traders are often unable to send bank wire transfers before the prescribed deadline. This creates unnecessary liquidation risks for market participants and could force clearinghouse to maintain large reserves to make up for gaps until the banking system reopens.

With EDGE Connect, traders can pre-authorize approved clearing houses to automatically withdraw additional margin within predetermined limits. This allows requirements to be met when legal margin obligations arise, while strictly controlling control over the amount and recipient.

Industry Leaders 'Views

Oscar Levy, CEO of River Markets, said: "Capital efficiency is a focus for many of our customers and partners. The fully collateralized nature of event contracts, coupled with the fragmentation of liquidity across locations, pose unique and important challenges. We are excited to work with the EDGE Markets team to promote faster and more efficient capital deployment between exchanges for our clients."

Gino Donati, President of OpenMarkets.ai, pointed out: "The flow of funds is one of the most stubborn constraints on unlocking the full potential and profitability of a company. Seni and his team understand this more deeply than most, and they are responding to the challenge head-on. Every operator and organization we spoke to mentioned the same two priorities: visibility and scalability. The solution we are building together meets these needs of people on the front line and back office. We look forward to working with EDGE Markets in multiple meaningful ways in the future."

Thomas added: "Clearing houses should not lock in hundreds of millions of dollars just because margin calls occur outside bank business hours. By allowing companies to establish authority in advance, we can help reduce avoidable liquidations, improve capital efficiency, and make markets that operate around the clock more resilient."

Empowering execution capabilities in emerging markets

With EDGE Markets, partners can now route capital with their transactions across venues, eliminating the need for users to manage funds across multiple trading accounts. The platform handles execution, while EDGE Markets manages the funds behind each transaction. Programmatic and agent control also allows partners to expand the size of transactions for customers and place strict restrictions on the flow of funds. For example, with EDGE Markets, ParlayX customers with EDGE Pro accounts no longer need to set up separate accounts for each trading venue. They can inject a one-time capital into the transaction from one place and set their own spending limits.

Partner feedback

Andrew Gonzalez, founder and CEO of ParlayX, said: "The biggest concern we hear from customers is the lack of capital access, and programmatic access to EDGE Markets is a major improvement. ParlayX handles everything that happens after capital arrives at the venue, but does not deal with the flow of capital itself. EDGE Markets handles the flow of capital, but its role ends when the funds arrive. Combining the two, a company can now integrate capital in EDGE and transact through ParlayX, enjoying full institutional-level control and continuous workflow. Each product makes the other more useful. We expect this to be a highly productive cooperation between the two companies."

Pranav Tadikonda, founder of Pikkit, said: "Pikkit is always committed to allowing users to understand and operate all of their accounts in one place. Our integration with EDGE is a natural extension of that vision. Pikkit users with EDGE accounts will be able to see their EDGE balances as well as their existing sports betting balances, and over time, we are excited to eliminate more of the friction involved in accessing and transferring capital to bet and trade on multiple platforms. As we begin to allow users to trade forecast markets directly on Pikkit, a seamless capital layer is becoming increasingly important."

Thomas concluded by emphasizing: "Intelligent finance can only expand if institutions can automate without losing control. The future is not unlimited access, but programmable access-with clear permissions, enforceable restrictions, and institutional-level guarantees of capital flow."

New programmatic capital allocation and agent access capabilities will be available later this year.
