Polygon and TRON link Bank of America track to USDT on the chain

Single integration connects two major stablecoin networks

Polygon (@0xPolygon) has expanded its Open Money Stack to support the TRON (@trondao) network. This initiative provides a direct channel for financial technology companies, remittance providers and payment platforms to access the world's largest USDT ecosystem based on traditional bank accounts.

On October 7, Polygon Labs added support for TRON to the Open Money Stack, connecting more than $94 billion in USDTs in circulation on the network to licensed U.S. banking systems through a single integration. For a long time, companies serving this economic sector must independently integrate licenses, custodian banks, wallet providers, and cross-link infrastructure to transfer funds between the banking system and the blockchain network. Polygon Open Money Stack unifies these components through a single integration, greatly simplifying the process.

Customers can recharge through bank transfer, debit card or retail outlet cash, receive USDT deposited into TRON wallet, and then complete fund settlement through bank account.

Integrated coverage

This update extends three Open Money Stack services to the TRON network. Polygon Ramps provides regulated access to the U.S. dollar through a currency transmission license and compliance system covering 48 U.S. states. Companies can create and manage TRON wallets through programmable accounts. In addition, they can route USDT between TRON and networks that support Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), including Polygon, in a single payment process.

TRON has become one of the most widely used digital dollar circulation networks in the world, especially in markets where USDT is widely used for retail payments, savings and cross-border transfers.

According to Polygon data, TRON supports more than US$94 billion in circulating USDT, and the total transfer volume has exceeded US$30 trillion. TRON DAO reported that as of October 2026, its number of user accounts exceeded 407 million and its total lock-in value (TVL) exceeded US$28 billion.

This is the first phase of Open Money Stack's support for TRON, and more features will be introduced in the future. Justin Sun (@justinsuntron) described the move as a step towards more accessible stablecoin financial products.

It should be noted that this setting does not exempt the payment company from its own license obligations.
