Arc stablecoin supply exceeded the US$578 million mark.
Arc's stablecoin supply increased by 24% in a week to nearly US$578 million. This is a remarkable milestone for a network that has only been operating publicly for a few weeks. According to relevant reports, Arc has climbed to the 18th largest blockchain in terms of stablecoin market value, surpassing mature networks including Sui and Sei.
Circle, the backer behind the network, played a key role in this momentum. Circle will officially launch Arc and be open to the public on September 16, 2026. Unlike blockchains such as Ethereum or Solana, Arc is a Layer-1 network specifically designed to support stablecoin-based applications. It is worth noting that although Arc is EVM compatible (Ethereum Virtual Machine) and closely connected to Circle's USDC infrastructure, it is a separate Layer-1 chain rather than Ethereum's Layer-2 solution.
Built specifically for stablecoins, with institutional strength Endorsement
Arc is officially launched as a Layer-1 network specifically designed for financial applications. All transaction fees are paid in USDC rather than using a separate Gas token. This design is designed to provide a predictable cost structure for developers and developers already operating within the stablecoin system.
Circle raised $222 million in pre-sales of its native token ARC for its new blockchain as the company attempts to move beyond its core USDC issuance business. The move brings Arc Networks 'fully diluted valuation to $3 billion.
Arc deployed $649 million in USDC and $7 million in EURC at launch, and has an ecosystem of more than 100 participants, including many giants in the traditional financial sector. Founding validators include BlackRock, American Depository Trust Corporation (DTCC), Visa, MasterCard, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and Standard Chartered Bank.
The rapid accumulation of stablecoin supply reflects the institutional influence of Circle. With the addition of Wall Street validators, an architecture built specifically for USDC, and the gradual formation of the on-chain DeFi ecosystem, Arc's early appeal signals that investors and builders are seeing it as more than just an ordinary blockchain.
