Meanwhile, a Bermuda-based life insurance company with bitcoin as its core business announced that it completed a new round of financing on Thursday led by Bain Capital Crypto in the amount of US$37.5 million. This round of financing enabled the cumulative financing amount of Meanwhile invested by the company's founder Sam Altman to exceed US$180 million.
Meanwhile said it has signed cooperation agreements with 15 brokers for wealthy families in Singapore, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates and Switzerland. The insurance company, which provides bitcoin-denominated and payouts life insurance products, said the financing will help it promote bitcoin-denominated life insurance services to wealthy households in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
"This investment will help us expand our bitcoin-denominated life insurance business to wealthy households in Asia, Europe and the Middle East," the company said in a post on its X platform.
According to the announcement, institutions such as Haun Ventures, Framework Ventures, Pantera Capital, Apollo, Northwestern Mutual Future Ventures and Morgan Creek Digital also participated in this round of investment. Sam Altman is also one of the company's supporters.
