Meanwhile completes US$37.5 million in financing to accelerate the deployment of the Bitcoin life insurance market
At the same time, Meanwhile, a licensed life insurance company fully focused on Bitcoin, announced that it has received US$37.5 million in new financing from existing investors. The Bermuda-based company, whose investors include OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, has raised more than US$180 million.
According to a statement issued by the company, the new round of financing is led by Bain Capital Crypto, with the participation of Haun Ventures, Framework Ventures, Pantera Capital, Apollo, Northwestern Mutual Future Ventures and Morgan Creek Digital.
Thestatement pointed out that as the uncertainty of the macro environment intensifies, international market demand for Meanwhile's Bitcoin life insurance products has increased significantly, especially in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
"Wealthy families around the world already hold Bitcoin, but they have always lacked a compliant way to inherit it." Zac Townsend, co-founder and CEO of Meanwhile, said in a statement,"Brokers come to us because their clients continue to make such demands. This round of financing will help us better meet customer needs."
Bitcoin inheritance solution for the next generation
In early 2026, Meanwhile launched the BTC Life 1-Pay product, a single-premium life insurance product designed for high-net-worth customers outside the United States. Previously, the company had launched its BTC 10-Pay product line for U.S. taxpayers, its second product line.
The company said policies can be held by individuals, trusts or companies, making the product ideal for estate planning and wealth inheritance.
In addition, the company added that its net long-term underwriting income has exceeded last year's total and expects to double in 2026, but did not disclose specific data.
