Zano的核心团队已在区块高度3,833,000处重新启动了网络的区块链，删除了大约一个月的历史记录。Zano团队于9月27日（周日）表示，涉及“网关地址”（Gateway Addresses）的漏洞导致未经授权的大量ZANO和自由美元（fUSD）流入市场。

Impact of rollback

Restoring to earlier blocks is equivalent to a hard fork, and older software versions cannot follow this change. The recovery process requires update procedures by nodes, miners, pledgers, exchanges and other service providers.

This rollback invalidates legal transactions and unauthorized issuance of tokens within a month, so activity during that period no longer appears on the restored chain. In addition, this operation cannot reverse payments settled on other blockchains.

The team said they are working to account for any losses and will publish the reimbursement and claims process.

Quinten van Welzen, head of marketing and growth at Zano, explained the decision. "Doing nothing means that unauthorized issuance of ZANO and fUSD will flow in the market without restriction, diluting the value of each holder and undermining the currency's most basic promise: a fixed supply." he said.
