10月7日，卡达诺（Cardano）创始人查尔斯·霍金森（Charles Hoskinson）在新加坡TOKEN2049大会上，将Midnight及其专注于隐私的技术推向了舆论的风口浪尖。同时，他借此机会对卡达诺基金会提出了尖锐批评，指出Midnight作为生态核心项目之一，却未在大会主展台获得应有的展示位置。
Midnight被排除在卡达诺展台之外引发争议
霍金森在参观卡达诺基金会的展区时，发现展区内没有任何关于Midnight的介绍，对此表示明显的不满与质疑。他质问为何这个拥有超过108平方米展区、汇聚了30多个卡达诺项目的展位中，唯独遗漏了Midnight。包括Minswap、Iagon、SNEK和GravityDEX在内的众多项目均在展会上亮相。
“卡达诺生态系统中最大的项目似乎在任何地方都找不到踪迹。”霍金森在社交媒体上发布的一段视频中说道。他半开玩笑地表示，鉴于Midnight专注于隐私保护，其缺席或许正符合其低调的特性。此外，霍金森还指出该展台由卡达诺社区资金资助，并呼吁社区成员密切关注国库资金的使用情况。

"Night Frame" Framework and Technological Breakthroughs: Midnight is entering a new stage
On the stage of TOKEN2049, Hodgson highlighted what he called the "Night Frame" framework. This is the core technical architecture of Midnight, a privacy sidechain built by Input Output Global (IOG), which combines zero-knowledge proofs (Zero-Knowledge Proofs), Multi-Party Computing (MPC), and Trusted Execution Environments (TEE).
This combination is designed to bring substantial privacy protection and computational complexity to on-chain operations, going beyond the scope of functionality that traditional smart contracts can provide. At the same time, the Midnight team also delivered a keynote speech at TOKEN2049, showcasing a variety of products including Night Mode, Midnight Passport, Collateral Warehouse and Offer Files.
Night Mode also uses an "iron triangle" technology combination of zero-knowledge proof, trusted execution environment and multi-party computing to support programmable smart contracts written in Midnight's compact programming language and enable selective disclosure.
The event follows a major technological milestone for the network. On October 2,2026, Midnight mainnet officially launched the smart contract deployment function without permission. This means developers are now free to deploy contracts or create contracts from code without having to go through mandatory security review processes. In addition, applications can deploy contracts on behalf of users, further lowering the barriers to entry for users.
Midnight's integration with Solana Wallet may also extend its privacy tools beyond the Cadano ecosystem, expanding the potential target market for $NIGHT tokens. Currently, the Midnight Network runs two types of tokens: NIGHT tokens are used for governance and utility functions, with a fixed supply of 24 billion coins;DUST tokens are a shielded token that serves as a renewable resource to pay transaction fees.
