BTC Bitcoin fell further at the opening on Wall Street on Wednesday, as oil prices rose amid headlines about the US-Iraq war, and stocks fell from all-time highs.
Highlights:
- Bitcoin fell to US$82,734 on Bitstamp, the lowest trading level since October.
- Affected by Iran's remarks about shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. Treasury yields soared to a 24-year high and Brent crude oil prices rose to US$102 a barrel.
- Bitcoin price analysis points out that demand in both the spot and derivatives markets is weak.
Iran's tightening of oil shipments has caused U.S. bond yields to hit a 24-year high.

Mixed signals about oil transportation in the Strait of Hormuz pushed Brent crude to US$102 per barrel on the day, while WTI crude reached US$91. An adviser to the commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps warned in an interview with Reuters that there would be severe crackdowns on traffic it deemed "illegal." "The Strait of Hormuz has been closed and the armed forces of the Islamic Republic have full control over it. This situation will continue as long as Iran's legitimate demands are not met." he said.

高盛FICC及股票部门北美利率产品销售与交易联席主管穆罕默德·库巴吉（Muhammad Qubbaj）预测，正如周二报道的那样，由于能源价格高企以及机构投资者需求低迷，“收益率可能会持续承压”。他在一次网络研讨会中预测，油价上涨“可能是影响长期利率的关键因素”。

链上数据分析平台CryptoQuant周三报告称：“自9月22日以来，比特币价格一直维持在相似水平，而比特币未平仓合约兴趣量下降了近10%，从约288亿美元降至260亿美元。‘这表明，在现货需求低迷的背景下，期货交易者也表现出有限的增加风险的意愿。’
