XRP XRP is ready to go: Analysts elaborate on two potential trends
XRP has been consolidating for months ahead of key decision points. The price is currently at $1.5090, consolidated below $1.65, which has constituted macro resistance since the rebound from lows around $0.93. Crypto analyst CasiTrades (@CasiTrades) released a detailed technical analysis outlining the next two different scenarios.
Spatial Compression Structure Pattern
The 4-hour chart shows that XRP has formed a smaller secondary consolidation pattern just below the US$1.65 resistance level. The form is approaching its peak. CasiTrades pointed out that this compression occurred about two weeks after the last test of this level.
The $1.65 region corresponds to the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement level at the macro level, which is also the key level she has tracked for a long time to confirm the direction of the trend. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) in the chart shows a contracting triangular pattern, reflecting the same compression seen in prices.
The momentum has weakened since the surge in September. The current RSI readings on the double lines are 52.89 and 52.45 respectively, which are in the neutral range and do not provide a clear directional signal individually.
Two forward paths
CasiTrades points out that there may be a final push towards about $1.70 to complete the current wave structure. This will bring XRP back to its August high. If prices reach that level, she plans to watch for "another level of bearish divergence" in the RSI to confirm that a larger top forms before starting a second wave of correction.
