XRP Price Analysis: The USDT trading pair
XRP is trying to stabilize after a sharp correction after a September high and is currently trading around $1.40. Although buying successfully triggered a rebound from the $1.30 support area, the broader technical outlook remains mixed. XRP needs to break through nearby resistance levels to continue the recovery, otherwise another blockage may expose lower-level support areas.
XRP's daily chart shows that prices rebounded significantly from August lows below US$1, followed by a strong rally that pushed asset prices higher to near the US$1.60 region. However, the market encountered rejections (selling pressure) at this level twice, indicating that bullish momentum has weakened significantly.
Prices are currently hovering around US$1.40, with the US$1.30 area being a key near-term support area. The area has attracted buying interest, as evidenced by the recent rebound. Holding this range will allow assets to consolidate and attempt further upward. However, a decisive break would weaken the structure of the recovery and bring the $1 support area back into focus.
The 100-day and 200-day moving averages also converge near the US$1.30 region, possibly forming a bullish cross, which further increases the importance of this level to the short-and medium-term trend of XRP. However, as the Relative Strength Index (RSI) falls below the neutral 50 level, bullish momentum is significantly weakened and the market faces a significant risk of losing key support areas.
Four-hour chart analysis
The four-hour chart more clearly highlights the recent correction trend. XRP has been trading below a downward resistance trend line drawn from September highs, with consecutive lows and highs reflecting continued selling pressure. The latest wave of declines pushed prices towards $1.30 support, before buying stepped in and pushed prices back slightly to $1.40.
Despite signs of recovery, XRP remains below the US$1.45 resistance zone. This region is particularly important because it coincides with the downtrend line and is a key level in judging whether this rebound can develop into a broader recovery. A strong breakthrough of $1.45 would negate the current immediate bearish structure and allow prices to target the $1.60 area again.
Conversely, if a rejection is encountered near $1.45, XRP may fall back to the $1.15 imbalance area that formed during the near-vertical rally in mid-August. Selling pressure eased as the four-hour RSI rebounded from oversold territory to around 40, but the indicator remained below 50 and a shift in bullish momentum has not yet been confirmed.
Overall, XRP is at a critical juncture. Holding on to $1.30 would provide bulls with the opportunity to extend their rally, but the declining four-hour trend line and resistance near $1.45 remain major obstacles. Breaking through this barrier will strengthen the recovery, while a renewed loss of $1.30 will increase the risk of a deep correction.
